Koenigsegg Regera- The ultimate expression of what’s possible.

Born in the house of a Swedish automaker known for its ultra-fast hypercars, the Koenigsegg Regera is the first ever hypercar to get a direct drive instead of the conventional multi-gear transmission system. The direct drive is a single-speed fixed-gear transmission with a gear ratio of 2.73:1, with the crankshaft rotating 2.73 times for every 1 rotation of the direct drive system. Deriving its name from the Swedish word ‘Reign’, it is indeed here to rule the hypercar market.

Despite having a 5.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine, the power delivery at low speeds comes from three electric motors that work in conjunction with the engine, pushing the Regera to a sublime top speed of 250.4 mph. To make it even more dramatic, the Regera gets a spaceship-like design language that looks more futuristic than the Koenigsegg Agera versions. With an eye-watering price tag of $1.9 million, the Regera is everything you would want in a hypercar. Koenigsegg has built yet another otherworldly mad machine that allows you to experience the highest degree of speed on roads. This monster of a machine stacks up against other unbelievably fast cars like the Bugatti Chiron and the Pagani Huayra Roadster.

Christian Von Koenigsegg
is undeniably a mastermind, and the Regera is his finest piece of work yet. It sets the benchmark for the fastest hybrid hypercar, thanks to the 1500 horsepower hybrid powertrain in the Regera and its signature direct drive system. It is never short on comfort as well, you get a supremely opulent interior. With a design that will take your breath away and a performance that lets you feel like a fighter pilot, the Regera is nothing less than a holy grail in the hypercar scene. All in all, the Regera is an engineering marvel that rewrites the rulebook of a hypercar with its innovation and unreal performance. It will soon become a collector’s car with a price that could go through the roof for its exclusivity and timeless engineering.

Ferrari SF90 XX- Is it still an XX by nature?

If you ever thought the Ferrari SF90 Stradale is ballistic, Hold on. Ferrari has something more outrageous in their store. Ferrari has always been about speed, passion, and unadulterated driving prowess/experience. However, after hybridization of some cars in their lineup, Ferrari lagged behind the passion and involvement in driving like it used to. However, to make things right, the Italian automaker has a new violent chapter in their story, the all new Ferrari SF90 XX.

For starters, it is the first ever road going Ferrari to receive the legendary XX moniker with only 799 units to be ever sold, how cool is it?. The name  XX  is Ferrari’s most elusive programme where they sell only track focused full blown race cars like the infamous 599XX, and FXX and FXX-K, and this SF90 XX, albeit being a road legal version, absolutely lives up to its legacy.

Let’s dive straight in to the technical aspects. Speaking of powertrain, it employs the same 4.0l twin turbocharged engine hybrid that you get in the SF90 but with a 30 horsepower bump, churning out 1030 hp. Ferrari also incorporates all wheel drive to put some sanity into the SF90 XX. Nevertheless, the icing on the cake is it’s aerodynamics. With all the aero trickery going on, you have to recalibarate your brain every time you come out of a corner. On the design front, Ferrari has gone nuts with their sketches. The front end receives a redesigned S-duct with a front splitter inspired by formula 1 car. It also flaunts an all new rear profile with a more aggressive rear diffuser which means double the downforce you get on the sf90 stradale. The taillight, on the hand, gets a complete makeover, now, it gets a futuristic LED strip lights running the entire width of the car.

The party piece, however, is the huge rear wing that generates about 530kg of downforce at just 155 mph and pulls all the way upto 320 kph. Although it is not as expensive or exclusive as it siblings, the SF90 XX never fails to deliver. It still is true to its XX name plate when it comes to exhilarating performance, precision and making you feel like it’s the last day.
